Pauline (Pudmaroff) Pierre, Born August 22, 1938 in Cowley, Alberta Canada was chosen by God to join him in heaven on September 9, 2020. Greeted by her husband James and son Anthoney who both preceded her in death, Pauli is at peace and no longer in pain.
Pauli moved to the United States with her family in her early teens leaving behind her friends and her extended family. She attended school in Kent, WA and graduated from Kent Meridian HS with honors in 1955 at the age of 16. It was during that time that she met James whom she would marry on April 27, 1957. Pauli was extremely creative and an accomplished seamstress; designing and making her wedding dress which would then be worn by three other family members.
Pauli settled with her husband in the Kent-Auburn valley and together they raised 3 children. She worked on the family’s dairy and when the children were older went to work at Holy Family Parish in Auburn first as the Secretary and advancing to Office Manager. Pauli was always looking for ways to improve herself and moved on to a position in the seafood industry with Ocean Beauty Seafoods followed by Peter Pan Seafoods. At the time that she retired, she held the title of Executive Secretary and was responsible for the liability insurance on all the fishing vessels and working with the lobbyists here in Washington as well as Washington DC.
Pauli was an artist in every sense of the word. She helped form the original folk group that sang at her church and there was always music in the home. She designed and created wall hangings and the priests garments for the church as well as knowing how to spin, knit, crochet, embroider, make several types of lace, decorate cakes & draw. If you were interested, she was willing to teach you.
She loved to travel and saw much of the United States and Canada with her family as well as making trips to Mexico, Spain and Russia. She was proud of her Russian heritage and passed it on to her children through the stories she told. She actively worked with other family members to “flesh out” the family tree.
Pauli is survived by her two daughters Teresa Ortiz (Ralph) and Cheryl Mundell (Steve), sister Jennette Zmaeff, brother Mike Pudmaroff, daughter in law Natalie Pierre, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
There will be public viewing at Price Helton on Monday Sept 14, 2020 followed by a private funeral and graveside service at Gesthemane Cemetery on Tuesday Sept 15, 2020. Please contact Price Helton for further information.
