Obituary

Obituary Robert E. Duhnke, Jr. was born on January 28, 1935 in Manitowac, WI and passed away in Federal Way, WA on December 3, 2017 surrounded by his family. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he entered the USAF serving as a navigator on the B52 Bomber. After 6 years in the USAF, he went to work for Boeing on the 747-400 and the B1B Bomber. He then went on to work for Alaska Airlines. Robert is survived by his 1st wife, Patricia Rose Duhnke, 5 children (Kim, Lori, Dawn, Robert, and Mary), 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Robert's 2nd wife, Judy Lind-Duhnke, passed away in 2004. Robert enjoyed poetry, photography, travel and swimming among other pastimes. The memorial for Robert will be held on December 22, 2017 at Tahoma National Cemetery where he will be honored with a military salute. At this time, the family will bid farewell to ""The Navigator"" as one who found the way to heaven and is now soaring high beyond the blue. Arrangements by Price-Helton Funeral Home.
