Obituary

Obituary Martin Luther Greiner, 92 of Auburn Washington went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2018. Martin was born September 11, 1925 in Goshenville Pennsylvania, to Herman and Elsie Mae Greiner. After graduating high school at West Chester Pennsylvania, he joined the Navy. He served as a radioman in World War II. His new job with the FAA moved him to Alaska, where he met his wife Bernice C. Greiner (Blatchford). They were married on December 11, 1948. After having seven children in Alaska, Martin's job transfer took him to Auburn Washington. He later retired after more than thirty years as an air traffic controller with the FAA. He enjoyed his retirement, loving children, church family, gardening, the Seattle Mariners and his dog Mert. Martin is proceeded in death by his wife Bernice, daughter Linda, Granddaughter Stephanie. Martin is survived by Jenny Yingling, David (Kari), Mary, Wesley (Janice), Mark (Sandy), James (Laura), nineteen Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and extended family and friends. A life celebration service for Martin will be held on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Auburn Seventh-Day Adventist Church 402 29th St SE, Auburn, WA 98002. Martin will receive military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery on Thursday July 12, 2018 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Auburn Adventist Community Center.
