Obituary

Lois Marilyn Wheeler, age 85, passed on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Washington. She was born in Yakima, Washington on November 24, 1935 to William and Velma (Lolley) Soden.

The family later moved to Burien, Washington where she graduated from Highline High School in 1954. She went on to attend one year of college at the University of Washington. Lois pursued a career with the Aukeen District Court as a court clerk, then worked in a real estate office until she opened her yarn store for a 5 year period. She went back to the real estate industry, expanding her career by taking a job as an escrow officer until she opened her own escrow office. While living in Des Moines, Washington, she enjoyed traveling and boating. She retired from her escrow business, moved to Montana and found a passion for quilting, enjoyed golfing and other crafts. Recently she moved to Auburn, Washington to be closer to her daughters.

Lois was survived by her brothers Gary Soden and wife Colleen, James Soden, her two daughters JoLynne and husband Steve Salmon and Karen Martin, three grandchildren, Jamie Salmon, Jeff Salmon and wife Leigh, Colby Martin and wife Ashley, one great grandchild, cousins, nephews, nieces and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Shirley Clayvielle.

Grave side service only on March 26, at 11am at Mountain View Cemetery Auburn Wa.
