Obituary

Obituary Floyd Schmidt was born in a sod house October 12, 1936 near Richardton, N.D., the son of John and Theresa (Link) Schmidt. He attended grade school in a one-room schoolhouse, graduated from Assumption Abbey in 1956 Richardton. He was in the army, stationed at Fort Lewis, WA, also, Fort Smith, AR. He worked for Boeing and then GRCC College for 25 years. Floyd enjoyed playing cards, camping, and gardening. Past member of Auburn Eagles, Knights of Columbus, past President of Auburn Chapter of AARP. He spent many hours helping in the kitchen at Holy Family Church. He is survived by his wife Laveta; two sons Monty Schmidt of Puyallup, WA, and Marty Schmidt (Linda) of Gold Bar, WA; grandchildren Gregory Schmidt, Zachary Schmidt; one brother, Tim Schmidt of Fargo, N.D., and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Diane Bernhardt. Arrangements by Price-Helton Funeral Home, 253-833-1165.
